Character Name: Alanna Deveraux
Age: seventeen
Occupation: mercenary
Gender: female
Personality: Alanna's persona is very hard to discern. On the one hand, she is very unpredictable and hard to understand. On the other hand, she is extremely caring. That doesn't really match her occupation. One who has devoted her life to killing another human being shouldn't be all that emotional. Well, Alanna is. However, she is a master of disguising her emotions. While inside she's feeling turmoil or extreme anger, outside she could be smiling. It makes her very hard to figure out, which is exactly how she likes it. Since she's a fairly new character, I'm not entirely sure exactly how her persona will turn out. Forgive me if this is a bit short.
☠Likes: men, animals, weapons, fighting, protecting those who need it
☠Dislikes: women, whores, her parents, stupidity, liars, cheats

History: Alanna has, in ever sense of the word, an 'odd' past. Her parents were both high ranking nobles in the king's court, and Alanna was primped and propered to be and act exactly like them. At a young age, she rejected this. When her tutor asked her to put a book on her head and walk down the stairs, she threw it at him. When her brother told her that she had no business riding a horse in a dress, she stole a pair of his breeches, cut them to size and used them. When her mother asked her why she dressed like a boy, she said because there wasn't a reason to never have any fun.
Needless to say, her parents were appalled. Her father was the "I'm better than everyone else here." type. And her mother was a moron. She was the typical trophy wife. As in, couldn't think for herself if she absolutely had to. Alanna is her opposite in every way. At the age of eleven, the little girl ran away from home. She was taken in by a couple and their five boys. This family owned some land by the shore not far from one of the fiefs that was constantly looted by pirates. In that area, everyone was trained in a little self defense. Well, the oldest of the boys was in the country's army. He could teach a little more than blocks and punches.
Alanna studied the arts of war and fighting for a good three years. It was her passion, the only thing that made her get up each morning. When you study that hard, it doesn't matter if you don't spend decades doing it, you pick up the information. Alanna had a knack for it. At the age of fourteen, she tried to dress like a boy and join the army. Well, at her size, it didn't work very well. That pissed her off to no end. Since then, she has traveled the countryside, one step ahead of anyone who wants to catch her to take her home. Afterall, she doesn't go by any name that isn't her own.
