Cold air crept through the air around the docks of Zanan Island. The place was nearly all just a city with small homes all over the place. On the docks was a large boat that looked more majestic than all the rest. All the sails were up, though most of the masts could not be seen because of fog. The sound of the sea could be heard over anything else this early in the morning. A man walked down a little plank from this majestic ship to docks. The man had black boots that went up to about his mid-shin only to meet dark gray pants which went up to a black shirt with gray vest. Over all of this was a dark gray colored overcoat. On the left hip of this man was a silver sheathed sword with a gold colored handle.
The man started walking down the docks towards some little shady building close to the edge of the dock. His stride looked to be one that belonged to a man that was full of pride. The man continued on to enter this strange looking building, pushing open the door to the entrance. Inside was a reasonably lit room that looked to be a bar full of the early risers, all of them pirates.
”So, if it isn’t our favorite captain. Captain Damon, how might you be this morning, lifelike, because that is sure disappointing.” Stated one of the men whom was turned around facing Captain Damon from the bar. Captain Damon didn’t seem to do anything other than smile as he walked forward towards the bar and took a seat. The man who made the call to the Captain had gotten out of his seat, waiting behind him as if wanted something. ”Lance, if you don’t stop standing in my shadow, you will no longer have something to look forward to” The Captain stated as the bartender put a glass of water in front of him, causing the Captain to give a “thank you” nod. ”We just can’t wait for you to be hung so we can stop seeing you get your same order of water from a tavern. I mean, at least have a drink.” the same person said again, while holding up his mug, and putting his arm around the Captain. To this the Captain merely looked on, while nodding for a minute. ”Yeah, if I were to start drinking I would end up like you guys, forgetting why I am still a pirate. Also, I don’t care how much you start sweet talking me sweet pea, you’re not taking me home.” Captain Damon replied with a grin appearing on his face as he took a sip of his water.
”Alrighty matey, you have gone too far this time.” Lance said as he grabbed the Captain’s collar and pulled him off the stool and turning him around, flinging a punch to his face. Captain Damon had Lance’s fist collide with his face as he was spun around, while Lance brought his fist down waiting for a comeback. ”You know, I might have to burn this coat, because a vermin touched it. Now, I would have left this at your comment, but you went ahead and hit me. Come on, we all know how foolish that is.” Captain Damon stated as he started turning back around with his water glass still in hand. When Lance let his guard down, Damon spun around hitting Lance in the side of the head with the glass, causing Lance to fall to the ground and the glass to shatter. ”Alright, where was I…oh, yeah! Can I get another one of those.” He asked as he sat back down at the bar, waiting for Lance to get up.
